Hello Hello! Thank you for stopping by! This product was bought with my own money and I gain nothing but experience by reviewing it.

Please check out my video review as there are a few things that I could have mentioned over there and forgot to add here!

For my first review, I wanted to start with the Banila Co. it Radiant CC Cushion in BP 15 which is the Pink Beige shade. Banila Co. released this product in 2014 so I'm a pretty late in trying it. But! It's never to late to find a new product to experiment with so here we are.

Banila Co. has this cushion in three shades

BE10 - Light Beige: For bright skin expression

BE15 - Pink Beige: Natural skin tone. (Which is the one I'm testing out for you guys.)

BE20 - Honey Beige: Healthily glowing darker shade.

Now I'm assuming this product is supposed to essentially be their infamous CC cream in a cushion foundation format. According to their website, it's an 55% water base formula and is meant to be non-greasy. As well as being sebum-controlling, it is also supposed to help maintain bright-skin throughout the day, have a lightweight texture, be easy to fix, and non-sticky.

Ingredients will be listed at the end for anyone interested.

ABOUT MY SKIN:

- I am an N127 in the Makeup Forever HD foundation and a W1 on L'oreal's true match scale.

- I have eczema but my skin is a very dry-combination skin. It tends to get oily on my forehead, eyelids, T-zone, and sometimes on my cheeks. However on some days when I'm lucky, it'll take a long time for the oily-ness to set or not at all before I wash my face. But lucky little me gets to describe how the product wears on both oily and dry skin for the most part.

First off, I'd like to start by saying that although the packaging is very simple and almost plain, I love how clean it looks. I'm currently only using one other cushion foundation, which is the Physician's Formula Mineral Wear, and I'm too afraid to bring it around in case I ruin the compact by jostling it around in my purse. But since the Banila Co. packaging is very simple and sleek, I wouldn't mind carrying this around with me. Although I'm a total sucker for cute packaging (hence my major weakness for Etude House), sometimes less is more personal comfort.

Now the compact is just a simple white plastic casing with what looks like another layer on the top to level the cover and give it an shimmery look, as if there was water on top of the compact. There's a simple button to push it open and reveal the mirror and a cushion puff. Although, unlike the general blue bottom puff, this one is a light beige color. Under the puff is the air-tight lid which is has a big enough tab to allow for easy access to the cushion itself. My package actually came with a refill, but I bought it off of a retailer so I'm not sure if the usual product comes with it.

Now I didn't use a primer or set the cushion, mainly because I realized that I didn't have any non-color correcting primer to use under this cushion and I've realized it's important to see how the cushion wears on it's own. Morgan from The Beauty Breakdown does it this way and I've seen how effective her method is at telling just how good these foundations are.

Since this is a cushion foundation, it applied on very easily. So easily that I realized immediately that the BP15 is a shade too light for me. BUT! This formula is very blend-able, so you can definitely incorporate this into your every day make-up, which is what I will probably have to do, or use this in winter when my skin color tends to be lighter.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

-Product has a very light fragrance. At first I thought that this was unintentional and just the formula, but I checked the ingredients and Fragrance(Parfum) is listed. However, I didn't notice any scent after applying it but it's something to consider.

- Color correcting abilities is on point. I'd expect nothing less than that from Banila Co. especially since their CC Cream formula is pretty highly raved about.

- They're very right about this being a light-weight, non-sticky formula. I could barely tell I had it on, it felt like I had just applied a slightly thicker moisturizer. I only reapplied the foundation to one spot of my face and it didn't cake up at all.

- I tried this on two days. The first day, I wore it with no primer or setting powder. The 2nd day, I used only a primer and applied it two different ways. One by patting it onto my skin, the other by blending it on. Both ways worked well, but patting it on gave a better finish and was more smooth and noticeable. However, if you decide to apply another foundation on top of this cushion, I would blend it on. It's lighter and less noticeable. Unfortunately, I didn't think to take pictures of the comparison of these methods, my bad.

- This is a cool-tone foundation. Even if the BP15 wasn't a too light shade, I feel like this product would still give off a white-cast on me. All the shades are geared towards giving the wearer a bright glow or at least a dewy look because there was definitely some shine to my face.

-This coverage is also lightweight. However, due to it's CC Cream properties, I actually don't think this is too much of an issue. I had some scars that the foundation just covered up completely and any scars it didn't cover where blended into a less noticeable appearance. Even in those cases, I just had to add a little more product and they were covered up almost completely.

- This actually didn't rub off easily. If you check out my video, I rubbed at my face a few times and it left no traces on my hand. Some residue came off whenever I wiped my nose but not enough for it to appear streaky or just disappear. I didn't reapply the foundation at all except on one of the slight rashes on my face because I kept poking at it for the video and it did eventually rub off, though I would say that it was because I just touched it wayyyy too much. Any other parts of my face didn't have that issue when I rubbed or touched it.

-I would suggest wearing a primer and setting this. After one hour of wearing it, I started to notice some issues due to my dry skin. The formula started to look a little dry and powdery and got into the cracks of my dry patches. It also creased in one of my smile lines. I also tried it the next day with just a primer and no setting due to the powdery look on my face and it could've just been the primer's fault, but the make-up rubbed off a little more. It didn't get into my dry patches as much though.

-This formula was apparently not meant to oxidize. Though after an hour of wearing it, it could've just been a psychological effect, but I felt like it oxidize a little and fitted my skin tone a little better. Not by much though, it was still a little too light.

On Dry Skin:

Wear a primer for sure. After one hour of wearing it, I noticed that it started to look like it had a powdery finish. It also got into the cracks of my dry patches and made they look even more dry and creased into my smile lines a little.

On Oily Skin:

When I wore this yesterday, my skin actually decided that it wasn't going to produce a lot of oil so I couldn't review how it wore in the oily parts of my face. However, I tried it again today with a primer and no setting just in case, and although it could've just been the primer's fault (I immediately went out a picked up a color-less primer yesterday and I've never tried it before) but when my forehead got oily, the make-up practically slid off my face at some parts. Which, I unfortunately have no pictures of. Though that might have also been the Banila Co. CC Cream I had decided to try with this. Either way, the formulas a pretty similar so I would recommend lightly setting this just in case.

Final Verdict:

-This cushion could very well be used as just a CC Cream instead of a foundation, but considering the expensive price, you're better off just buying a CC Cream if it doesn't match your skin tone. The CC Cream is cheaper and works just as well, no point in buying the cushion to use as a CC Cream if it doesn't even match your skin tone anyways. Despite some of the issues I had with this foundation, I'm very tempted to order the BE20. This looked so good on my skin even though my face didn't match my neck and with the right primer and a little setting powder, I feel like this could be perfect. But for that price? I could probably find something that's better for way less.
